In 1977, Chekhov Automobile Plant or shortened to ChAZ acquired the license and toolings from Ibishu to produce a modernized Miramar in Russia. The modernized Miramar, called the ChaZ-2160, first started production in 1978, and It had a 1.2L engine and square headlights. It then got a facelift in 1980 called the ChaZ-2160B, with both 1.2L and 1.3L engine options. Productions ended in 1999 as the model was becoming more outdated.
