Tesla Supercharger is a 480 V DC fast charging technology developed by American automobile manufacturer Tesla, Inc. for its all-electric vehicles. The Tesla Supercharger network of fast charging stations was introduced in 2012. As of March 2020, Tesla operates more than 17,000 Superchargers at 1,942 stations worldwide (an average of 8.8 chargers per station), including 993 stations in North America, 543 in Europe, and 406 in the Asia-Pacific region. The Supercharger racks have a connector to deliver 72 kW, 150 kW, or 250 kW of electricity via a 400 V DC connection to the vehicle’s battery pack.
