V1.7 490mb zip, Ringwoods Map Update, Multiplayer YES. Map opimised via 2nd GE pass to reduce size. Ringwoods 1.7 is log error free .
Important Change: You need to unzip the file and you will have RingwoodsV17update and 5 other zip files plus a short notepad readme. Place all zip files in your mod folder. The included AnimationMapTrigger has the functions for the Gates, Roof and Doors to the new chicken fattening shed at the North Farm.
Starting equipment is better than basic and worth +999k if sold towards mods.
It would be a great help to others If you could comment on how this map performs with your PC system specs. This plays perfectly on our systems with settings set to HIGH and 2xAS , 2xAA enabled. Win7 64bit, 8gb Ram, Xeon quad core CPU's and Geforce 670 MSI graphics cards.
For players new to Ringwoods the map was based on the original Westbridge map, it has a huge surrounding forestry trail which rings the full map on it's pushed back boundarys without sacrificing any field space. To say a few trees are pre-planted is an understatment and it's a fun place to take a break from farming with an off road pickup. Field layouts have been changed from the Westbridge original map to make a better operating environment. There are 3 large farms, Multiple ways to make money and places to sell. 3 sawmills and a main mill with Marhu's sawmill at it's center. Animal fattening pigs, beef and chickens, Compost factory, Farmer_Andy's new salad factory, 3 fenced empty flat areas for placeable mods, a wool pallet collector and more. The trees have had photoshop work and so have most of the textures in the map making it a beautiful place to farm in.
Mods you will need:
Animal transport trailer like Marhu's Joskin Betimax RDS7500, A multi trailer and shovel that can transport and tip compost, A multi tanker like Farmer_Andy's Kotte Garant that can transport and fill water, fuel, fertilizer and liquid manure.
Thanks to all that pointed out small issues for me to fix or change ready for this update, they have all been addresed. I'm 1 guy and I make mistakes but I fix them fast if I'm made aware.
New for Ringwoods V1.7.
I thought it would be good to have a flat area on the map for placeable mods so I created 3, one at the side of CMC Composting, one north of the baseball field and one up behind the sheepzone on the right. All are fenced off, auto gated, have flat ground surfaces and are surrounded by trees. See Pictures. PDA is updated for the 3 areas and I hope you find this space of some use.
The file system has been cleaned and all junk files and folders now removed.
The 5 mods that were built into Ringwoods upto V1.6 have been made external like other maps, they are now in zip files to be placed with the map in your mods folder. This should increase the maps compatability and should prevent it from refusing to load for some folks due to mod conflicts. Marhu's water mods is still built in.
Several dead items have been removed from the scenegraph and around 50 duplicated fence post's that I found when cleaning out the scenegraph.
The PDA map has been replaced with a new one as it had moved off center, it is also upto date and has new locations and new icons for Perfect Produce sell points.
Field areas 8 and 9 have a new layout and it has created the largest field on the map with a nice elevation change. It takes a long time to seed and harvest field 8 with standard equipement.
You may have noticed in V1.6 3 fields had buy triggers on mounds, the mounds were visual elevation markers for me but I had no time to implement this. They are now finished and smoothed out.
I have finished the fencing after a few days work. All fields have autogates and this has changed the way the map plays as you can no longer just cut across land where ever you want to but most fields do have more than one entry/exit point.
100's more trees have been planted to create avenues along the fenced fields and road ways. More trees have been planted into the maps boundary forestry.
Malc's compost storage has been implemented into CMC composting's yard and the composting yards silo has been lifted so a Krampe 900 easily fits now. The Yard has also been made wider.
Conveyors have had work to textures and particle unloading outputs corrected and aligned. Small natural trigger markers have been added to the ground.
New Chaff storage areas have been added to each farm along with conveyors.
BioGas Silo's 1&2 have had a tweak which should prevent the bug where they won't fully empty. Silo's 3&4 were not affected by that bug.
New Digital silo amount displays have been added to the feed stores. They flicker like on most other maps unless close up. I wasted a day playing with them but they will have to do for now. These were a user request and are a trial.
A small aid for bale storage has been added at the cowshed next to the mix station(South Farm). This will prevent any bales from a stack falling into the cow meadow.
Farmer_Andy's new salad factory is installed and fully operational in the north. This was a large mod and took some squeezing in. You will need marhu's new multi tanker to fill the fuel, water and fertilizer tanks. The plant fills with wheat seeds only. Once all are full production will automatically startup. The tanks capacity's have all been upped from 10000 to 30000 and the generators fuel capacity has been increased so the plant will run for longer than the placeable version. Perfect Produce has an on site sell point in the warehouse a short front loader lift away, however sell points have been added to the maps diners(lettuce icons on the map) and they pay a slightly higher price for delivery. Night lighting has been added to the Perfect Produce yard like all the other main areas.
Extra texture work at gate entries and grass verges plus buidings around the map. Many small fixes have also been made in V1.7.
Starting equipement has been updated.

Framerate is still silky smooth on our PC's although it may glitch upon first starting the game until the caches are filled. Also at 9pm when the lights come on you may see a performance decrease. Driving around the areas with the lights on will help speed up the caching, make a save point, exit and reload and it should now be smooth.
As always this map was designed to run on our PC's the spec's are above and it does perfectly. However I CAN NOT guarantee that it will run, perform and play as intended on your PC system but hopefully it will.
You are not allowed to modify and re-upload this map without my permission so please don't, make and edit your own maps and mods it's fun.
You can however use my modifed textures including the trees for your own map and upload them with it. Thanks Stevie.

hey i am still having problems uploading this map to a dedicated server it keeps saying the map is crupt and wont upload?? any ideas on how to fix this because its a great map and would love to play it?

there are more errors but they are just sound and texture files i can post them as well if you like but i think the main problem is the Invalid UTF-8 encoding in modDesc.xml. Convert modDesc.xml to UTF-8.

Yes i put all zip files in mods... the version 1.1 at 1.3 don't give me error xml file but more advance in version yes... 1.5, 1.5 & 1.7
Ok Man I'm on FS-UK.com, same user name FIREZ34 post over the log via a pm and I'll see what I can Fix my end regarding your sevver for the next version. Convert modDesc to UTF-8 any explain why it want's that format cos I ain't a clue.
I've just downloaded the map from here and tested it and it's clean on my system as it was before I uploaded it. No error's everythings working. To those having problems, sounds like mod conflicts in your mod folders or you haven't placed the 5 other zips in your mod folder. I will carry on checking now.
MAIKLFOX. Do me a favour and just try ringwoods1.7 in a mod folder on its own with the five other zips placed with it and see what happends. Everthing is working here for me no errors, buy pigs, chickens, beefs, make compost no problem.

RUI MIGUEL explain to me where and when in the map you are getting that error and I will try to replicate it now.

RUI MIGUEL OK it might be a mod conflict. Please try this. Rename your current mod folder to mods2. create a new folder called mods and place just Ringwoods and it's 5 zip files into it, nothing else. now load up the game and select ringwoods1.7 and see if the error is present, It shouldn't be.

RUI MIGUEL It's simply the mixing plants at the south and north farm letting you know that their silage, straw and grass silo tanks are empty and that it needs filling to produce perfect forage feed for the animals. Once they are full the machine will start up and produce feed.

RUI MIGUEL look at photo 17 with the yellow t8 tractor, to it's left in front of the cowshed is the south farms mix station machine(3 green tanks) it will have a red light on top. When the tanks are full the light will go green and the machine will start to make feed. No new updates for a while bar any issue fixes.
1 issue found the main farms grain silo trigger works but is smaller than it should be so you have to watch for the unload icon to pop up. It's is fixed already for the next update.

Is it possible to remove the collision on the fences? There are to many of them with collision it using lots of ram on our server. This map is really a top of the world map. Thans for making such map.
Yet another map builder that puts to much in a map.Not worth the download.
ORION you could remove the collision in seconds from the fences. You would have to unzip ringwoods, open the map in GE select a bit of fence, in attributes select rigid body then untick collision. Go to Edit, select Replace in the first box click a bit of fence which still collision and click load, in the lower box select the edited fence click load. Then click replace all. Rezip the map from the root directory.
Downloading from 30kb/s at both links? Maybe too much traffic. O well. Will wait until finished after 4 hours.(sad)

There will be a small update early next week with a fix for the main farms silo trigger and also removal of collision to trees ash, maple oak and fence end post's which will free up some resources. I will also make the diner prices paid higher for salad and base it on distance still.
Please report any genuine issues before Sunday, The 1.71 update will go live Tuesday. I don't want to hear about problem with animals or compost soil as you have mod conflicts in your folder. As explained Place ringwoods in it's own folder with it's included files and start bring in your mods and testing them. When you get an error dump the mod back out. The Ringwoods map log is error free tried and tested.

I will confirm what Stevie says about error free. Tried and tested. No errors. if you have Errors do as he says and take the mods out one by one, until you find which one. runs perfectly smooth for me.

mod itself Compost Soil own locks work when you put it is not all right ... check on the map Omergaur Alps 2.2 ... mod compost Soil closes the doors of the pigsty, etc.
and honestly it is better to additional modes were used directly in the card been set for what would have been less of a headache ...

Thankyou for this great update Stevie.I had a quick drive around and it looks brill.I have found a log error it is Warning: Duplicate l10n entry 'voll' in mod 'ringwoodsMapUpdateV17'. Ignoring this defintion.That is only error i have and it loads ok even with all my other mods.
PERFECT08 it's just from the modesc for the mixstation and sawmill as it's used in both xml scripts. Not a problem strange though because that doesn't flick up in my log.

I had to swap the conveyor just because when it started loading a trailer the frame rate dropped and I didn't have time to find out why.
hey stevie, want to give an newbie some advice on map-building, I'll send you the file, but it is not yet play-able because the scripts are not ready for it, and it is far from finished. I'm only starting out, and have finally started to get things moving on it, but not far enough to play.

Great update man, I love it...placing the free lots to place down buildings is like you read my mind. :) I was gonna drop the the bio fuel plant to go green.

Lol I don't think there will ever be a final update. The 1.71 is important as it hopefully fixes some issues for multiplayer severs. There should be a good performance increase for local user though as well. Plus it fixes 6 or 7 minor issues and a few improvements. Glad you like it. It's getting quite a following over the sites now.

At field 20 on the side there is a floating tree brother. Open spaces for extra buildings also a thanx. Further it is still a good job and you got my vote.
Hi FREESTATE FARMER I'll get that tree now. V1.71 is coming out Tuesday and what started as a single fix for the main farm silo trigger has become huge code and script change for servers, but it's all done now. The silo's are changing I think for V1.8 that's why no digital amounts are on them.

It was half way down the field not far from the field edge. I think we are talking about the same one.
I need your help Stevie. I am looking for a nice plow for field 8 that wont do that stupid skipping and gaps between rows at the edge of the field. I tried even your horschMultiplough_andTerrano5FM. Nice speed but makes a hell of a gap between rows. I tried already 5 different ones and still when the plow gets bigger, the gaps gets bigger. The small ones work nice but takes hours to finish. Maybe you can do the impossible and mod such a plow that dont make gaps? Thanx.
Ok I think that may be nothing to do with the plough's but rather the plough's field texture. I didn't know that there might be 2 one for the small plough's and one for the larger ones. I'll have a look when I have time.

A only one trailer will fill those tanks and that's the kotte garrant universal by Marhu and Farmer_Andy.

This is one FANtastic map...but ,,,, how do you pick up the lettuce scraps (chaff). This is so close to representing real world. I love not being able to go thru the fields. Excellant ma to use courseplay. I did lose everything in the lettece Water, fertilizer...etc, after saving game...bummer...most mods gone,.... need more water and fertilizer refill points...would be nice...but can live the way they are...great job !!!
I have the ringwoods V1.8 Multi fruit and there's still a problem for me, the biogass at field 20 isn't working. I can fill it up, but it stays full..
