Orchards (for which I made small sneak peak post before) are done. I am also working on extended greenhouses with new fruits which are in very advanced stages now, so will take a look on that also soon. There is a lot to cover - on what I am working on now, it all kinda works together, so will focus on these features one by one.
First up the orchards:
This will be availabe in PC only map version, once that is released. (It will come in update for crossplay map version aswell, but will work a little bit differently)
These orchards work as a production. They require only water to produce fruits but you can increase the productivity with optional reagents: compost (by 40%) and fertilizer (by 60%) This functionality and few others are only possible with Production Revamp mod, so that is why PC only at first.
Orchards will produce fruits only during spring and summer.
The amount of produced fruits can be also visually seen - boxes with fruits will appear around as the product fill level goes up.
Base game feature of hiding objects during different seasonal conditions is used here so during the year you will see how the trees change. During spring there will be blossoms visible and the fruits are small and green. During the summer, you can see fully grown colorfull fruits on the tress and during the autumn there will be also some rotten ones the ground.
NOTE: I orignally planned to use herbicide or liquid fertilizer instead of solid fertilizer but unfortunately both of these base game pallets can not be unloaded into productions. Could be done easily with editing them and adding to the map but to avoid confusion why base game pallet does not work and the other does, I am thinking about adding an extra fertilizer, probably will just call it: fruits and vegetables fertilizer and will be used only in the orchards and greenhouses. I will probably do that since the solid fertilizer is also not very lucky solution, it is also a bit harder to unload it from the base game pallets and bigbags - they must be kept above the trigger.
In next post will take closer look on greenhouses and after that everything about the compost - how to make it and so on.
It will be also possible to process both fruits and vegetables further in Fruit and vegetable processing plant (will cover that here aswell later.
Orchards and greenhouses will not be built into the map, you can build them by youself, wherever and however you want.
This entire pack of orchards, greenhouses and compost will come also as standalone mod for any map after the PC only map version release.
